For those seeking the wisdom of lived experience within adoption and kinship care relationships, allow me to introduce myself. Hello sunshine, I’m Raquel, a former child of kinship care, birthmom in reunion, and kinship adoptive mom.
I believe “honesty without compassion is cruelty” and strive to share truth through a lens of empathy and grace. Most of my credentials are like those of an accomplished artist, more hands-on than academic though I do have a certification from Florida State University from their Trauma & Resilience course.
